Basic plot (containing spoilers)

1. The two main powers

- Tie Dan Shen Hou: The King's uncle, manages Tian Xia Di Yi mansion (Best in the world mansion), has the mission to protect the king, has under his power many trained swordsmen and spies as well as experts in finding information about pretty much anyone at any time. He also establishes his power in Japan with Liu Sheng Dan Ma Shou (father of Liu Sheng Xue Ji and Piao Xu), a Japanese swordsman who is very famous and powerful in his country. He also trained Duan Tian Ya, Shang Guan Hai Tang, and Gui Hai Yi Dao since they were little, the three swordsmen each holding the title of Tian (heaven), Di (earth), Yuan (power). Later under his power he also admitted Cheng Shi Fei into the system, and he holds the title of Huang (royal). Also in his allies is the rich and famous Wan San Qian, a millionaire who thinks money can buy all.

- Cao Zheng Chun: the chief eunuch in the pallace. He holds a lot of power because of his control of the eunuch spy system (East factory) that encompasses not only eunuchs alone but also many powerful forces outside of the pallace. Together with Tie Dan Shen Hou, Cao Zheng Chun maintains the balance of power. However, these two main powers always hold grudges and wait for the right moment to destroy each other.

2. The characters
- Duan Tian Ya (Li Yapeng): went to Japan to study swordsplay, met and fell in love with Liu Sheng Xue Ji. However, due to consequential actions that create animosity between the Liu Sheng family and Duan Tian Ya, Xue Ji's father hated Tian Ya to the core and swears to kill him. Tian Ya is an honest, brave, loving man who will do whatever it takes to save his friends regardless of Shen Hou's command. However, his weakness is his kind heart and people can take advantage of this to trick him into a well-planned plot.

- Shang Guan Hai Tang (Ye Xuan - Michelle Ye): grew up together with Duan Tian Ya and loved him but doesn't get his love in return. She always pretends to be a man so that it's easier to travel in the martial art world. Her love for Tian Ya was probably just an adolescent feeling; after knowing that Duan Tian Ya will not return her love she calmly withdraws, telling him that she will never pursue what can never be hers. They remain good friends for the rest of the movie. Hai Tang is very smart and knowledgeable in poetry and art. She later falls in love with Gui Hai Yi Dao despite being pursued by Wan San Qian.

- Gui Hai Yi Dao(Huo Jian Hua - Wallace Hua): a cold person who doesn't have any feelings for people because his sole purpose in practicing martial arts and living is to avenge his father's death. His father's death has given him the strength to revive himself after many failures. Every time he fails he always imagines his father talking to him and regains his strength. However, one day when he saved Hai Tang he discovered that she was a girl in disguise and started to like her without her knowing it. Though at first rejected by Hai Tang (because it was too sudden for her, she never knew he liked her), he later gets her love in return. His love for Hai Tang causes him to lose his focus on killing people and brings him back to a more humane life.

- Cheng Shi Fei (Roger Kwok): an orphan who lives on the street, stealing and tricking people to live. One day his friend sold him into the pallace because they lost a gambling game, he accidentally fell into a cave where he found Gu San Tong, one of the world's best swordsman and also Shen Hou's sworn brother/enemy. Gu San Tong, on the verge of death, transferred all his internal energy to Shi Fei and also wrote on Shi Fei's body all of the martial arts that he obtained by killing masters of the great sects (Shao Lin, Er mei, Kong Tong, Wu Dang, vv). After one night Cheng Shi Fei became a potential martial art master, having great internal energy. Every time he is in danger, he would look up these martial arts and hence can rescue himself. He falls in love with Yun Luo princess. He likes a free life where he can do whatever he wants. He also loves money.

- Yun Luo princess (Chen Yi Rong): the king's sister who is annoying at times and is always bored until the day she meets Cheng Shi Fei. After many separations they finally unite and live a life happily together. Yun Luo is always contrasted to her servant, Xiao Nu, who is markedly smarter, calmer and trickier than Yun Luo. Xiao Nu thinks of all the plans for Yun Luo to get Cheng Shi Fei back after he left because of a misunderstanding.

- Da Ming Emperor: not very decisive, he can't control his kingdom, letting the power falling into the hands of the eunuch Cao Zheng Chun and his uncle Tie Dan Shen Hou. Later Hai Tang's encounter with him reveals that he is not ignorant of the powers in the government. He just pretends like he doesn't know anything so that Shen Hou and Cao Zheng Chun can keep each other balance and no one holds too much power. He told Hai Tang he couldn't trust anyone. Also interested in Hai Tang.

- Liu Sheng Dan Ma Shou: A Japanese swordsman cooperating with Shen Hou, hoping to become the number one power in the martial art world in Japan. He has three children, the oldest son killed by Duan Tian Ya, and his two daughters fall in love with Tian Ya one after the other. Hating Tian Ya to the core, he uses death as a threat to make Piao Xu follow his command and harm Tian Ya.

- Liu Sheng Xue Ji (Eva Huang Shengyi): Liu Sheng Dan Ma Shou's older daughter who falls in love with Duan Tian Ya. She is short-lived, dying by trying to save Duan Tian Ya from her father's sword. However she arguably remaisn the only one Duan Tian Ya truly loves. Though very good at martial art (only not as good as her father and older brother), she is torn between the duty to her family and the love for Duan Tian Ya.

- Liu Sheng Piao Xu (Gao Yuanyuan): Xue Ji's younger sister who also loves Duan Tian Ya. At first she was only a spy sent by her father and arranged by Shen Hou to trick Duan Tian Ya into their plot, but later she truly loves him. She is a lot stronger and colder than her sister in killing people and fulfilling her duties as a daughter of the Liu Sheng family. Because of her father's command she can kill anyone only to get him to promise not to kill Duan Tian Ya. Later she gets married to Duan Tian Ya. Duan Tian Ya, having loved only her sister, married her because of the arranged events that caused him to feel pity for her.

- Wan San Qian: a very rich man who does many good deeds and establishes a network of supporters that will do anything at his command. He likes Hai Tang not purely because he loves her, but because he believes in fate, and there was an omen that Hai Tang will be the girl that he should marry. He doesn't force Hai Tang to marry him, but by promising that he will take care of all Yi Dao's victims' family, he made Hai Tang have no choice but to marry him to pay off the deeds he did (supposedly) for Yi Dao.

3. The performance
- Li Yapeng (as Duan Tian Ya): he was the one I was least impressed about, having seen him in Xiao Ao Jiang Hu (as Linghu Chong), and Legend of the Condor Hero (as Guo Jing). His acting is mediocre in this series, having very limited facial expression. His character is one who's too straightforward and simple, not having much internal struggle. He tries to portray Duan Tian Ya as a brave and honest man but seems very forced. I like his acting in Xiao Ao Jiang Hu the best. In this series he seems so weak and kind of slow (deceived by everyone). His acting here was pretty boring and it makes me wonder how two pretty and talented girls fall for him. It's a mystery. Rating: 3/5

- Wallace Huo Jian Hua (as Gui Hai Yi Dao): this is the first time I see him on screen, and I have to say I was very impressed, not just by his extremely good-looking appearance but also because of the way he portrays a cold Gui Hai Yi Dao whose life before he loves Hai Tang was all about killing people and never thinking twice about it. Huo Jian Hua's face gives me a feeling that he wears a mask and behind that mask there is something deeper, more passionate feeling. Although his screen time wasn't as much as Li Yapeng or Roger Kwok, he was my favorite male actor in this series. Yi Dao after loving Hai Tang was still cold, but now he also knows a more humane side of being a human: emotions. However, I have to say that some time you can still tell that he's trying to "act" and that his expressions are not very natural. However, because his acting caused me to have a lot of emotions and really think that the actor himself has "become" the character, I give him a 4.5/5

- Michelle Ye Xuan (as Shang Guan Hai Tang): absolutely my favorite person in this series, not only because her character is likeable, but also because of Ye Xuan's stunning performance. She has a very intelligent looking face with a great smile, and she doesn't seem to have to try "acting", her performance is very natural, you only see her as Shang Guan Hai Tang the character and not as Ye Xuan the actress. The onscreen chemistry with Huo Jian Hua was the best, they seem to act very well together. In my opinion it was way better than the chemistry between her and Raymond Lam. Ye Xuan's cheerful and bright attitude contrasts strongly with Huo Jian Hua's cold, gloomy look. Shang Guan Hai Tang is at times clever, at times emotional, and deserves to be loved by everyone - Yi Dao, Wan San Qian, and even the emperor. Rating: 5/5!

- Gao Yuanyuan (as Liu Sheng Piao Xu): her role in this movie is similar to Zhou Zhiruo in Heaven Sword Dragon Sabre, a girl torn between duty and love. Also this movie was made after Heaven Sword and Yuanyuan's acting skills should have been improved, I was less impressed in this movie. Her character is also less likeable than Zhou Zhiruo, not to mention how much less pretty she looks wearing Japanese clothes. Her advantage is her sad eyes and facial expressions that always seems like she has an internal struggle against herself. However Liu Sheng Piao Xu to me is as cruel and cold-hearted as Zhou Zhiruo, yet less clever and ambitious. This character does not impress me at all, but I think Gao Yuanyuan fulfilled her role. Rating: 3.5/5

- Roger Kwok (as Cheng Shi Fei): let me state first that I do not like characters like Cheng Shi Fei (and Xiao Yan Zi in Huan Zhu Gege). They annoy me a lot. What I saw was that Roger Kwok tried to be a playful, childish Cheng Shi Fei, however his acting was extremely forced, probably because he's not a naturally playful person. I really can't say if other people could have taken this role better than him, though, just because of the nature of the character. His facial expressions were exaggerated to the point that I was like "Nobody in real life ever has that kind of expression!" However, if you like Xiao Yan Zi type, you will probably like Cheng Shi Fei in this series. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately for those who like him) he gets the most screen time. I just wish Yi Dao and Hai Tang had more screen time. Rating: 3.5/5

- Chen Yi Rong (as Yun Luo): same as Cheng Shi Fei, annoying, playful, they are a good pair (although realistically speaking I think it'd be better for Cheng Shi Fei to fall for someone opposite of him, so that they can compensate for what the other lacks). I think she's alright in her role, can't really do much better. Rating: 4/5

- Damian Lau (as Tie Dan Shen Hou): I think he played his role well, although his face looks obviously scheming. He portrays the calculating, power-driven Shen Hou well but not the side that is also loving. The character Shen Hou is a complicated one to portray and the only thing I think Lau is lacking is an aura of power. He doesn't quite give me the "chill" that such a character should. Rating: 4/5

- Li Jian Yi (as Cao Zheng Chun): not good enough for a eunuch that intelligent and powerful. After seeing a lot of historical based movies you start to know what people who hold real power should look like and their manners. Li Jian Yi portrayed an obviously scheming Cao Zheng Chun, whereas in my opinion it should have been a little subtle since he is still the "servant" in name. He acts as though he is the boss even in front of the king and the king's uncle whereas realistically speaking eunuchs don't have the right to speak in front of their masters. A lack of historical accuracy, but hey, this is not meant to be another Romance of three kingdoms. Rating: 3/5.

- Huang Shengyi (as Liu Sheng Xue Ji): personally Huang Shengyi is my favorite actress but in this movie I think the role was not complicated enough for her. That and her screen time was too short, she was only a guest star. However I think she looks the prettiest in this movie in Japanese clothing even, and she has that magical smile/look. I'm not giving a rating because there wasn't enough sufficient time to judge.

4. Final conclusion: I think this series is worth watching because of Wallace Huo and Michelle Ye, and the plot is also pretty interesting although at times it's a bit illogical. However the emotions brought by Wallce and Michelle are enough (for me), since I knew this was going to be nothing like Jin Yong based movies. What I disliked was that a lot of the background music in the first ten episodes were exactly like in Tian Long Ba Bu 2003 (and we all know that was considered a success by mainland China to make a martial art movie). However, the sub songs are good, and so is the one sung by Wallace Huo (be cautioned, however, that I do not know Chinese!).

What you should know: Eva Huang Shengyi and Dicky Cheung are guest stars in this series. Don't just watch it because you expect to see either of these two. Eva appears in about 3 episodes for 10, 15 minutes and Dicky in 2 episodes for about less than 5 minutes.

World Hero's Finest is a must see! The plot has its own uniqueness, the cast was spectacular, and the songs were awesome--especially those sung by Wallace Huo!

40 Episodes

Cast:
Tie Tan Shen Hou: Damien Lau
Twan Tien Ya: Li Ya Peng
Kway Hai Yi Dao: Wallace Hou
Shang Kwan Hai Tang: Michelle Ye
Cheng She Fei: Roger Kwok
Ying Luo: Tammy Chen
Liu Sheng Piao Xue: Gao Yuen Yuen
Liu Sheng Xue Qi: Eva Wang
Koo San Tong: Dicky Cheung
Su Xin: Monica Chan
Wan San Qien: Kent Tong

The Story:
The emperor has maintained 2 powers during his reign in order to maintain balance and to secure his position. The first power was that of the head of the slaves, Tsaw Cheng Chun. The next was that of his uncle, Tie Tan Shen Hou. Tie Tan Shen Hou established a sect that protects the emperor at all costs, the Hu Long Shan Chuang! From the sect, Tie Tan has 3 powerful leaders: The Sky (Twan Tien Ya), The Earth (Yi Dao), and The Power (Hai Tang). He was yet looking for the fourth leader when suddenly, Cheng Shu Fei, a street-boy, passed by the palace and rescued the emperor's mother, gaining him fame and honor, and became the 4th leader: The Wealth! Little does Tie Tan know is that Cheng She Fei is the son of his enemy, Koo San Thong...

Meanwhile, the stories of the 4 powers were given much importance to, how each faced their past and found their life's meaning...

Characters:
Tie Tan Shen Hou: Damien did a very good job with this role. Of all his past performances that I have seen, this is the best so far! He was able to portray a very powerful Shen Hou who earned everyone's respect, even mine! He was a veteran! I loved how he played the villain role so smoothly and suave wherein he ws able to plan everything without anyone being able to figure it out!

Twan Tien Ya: Li Ya Peng was ok. I enjoyed his performance of being the calm leader since it suits his appearance very well. He was a good brother, godchild, and husband. but sometimes, he was too good and kind that it became too easy to fool him. I find him gullible, especially when he still tried to rescue the evil princess who was drowning although he felt doubtful already. What I don't like about Li Ya Peng's performance is when he portrays an angry role. It just does not suit him to shout like that when he is mad! I would prefer it if he would just remain quiet and cried his emotions silently...

Kway Hai Yi Dao: Wallace never fails to make me applaud to his wonderful performances! Of all his performances, the only one I did not enjoy much is his performance in 100% Señorita because it seemed too plain and easy for him. This actor needs challenges because he CAN act! The expression he reveals in each scene were very effective! When he feels sad, I feel sad, when he feels happy, I feel happy, when he is in pain and mad, I feel sorry for him! He was a perfect choice for Yi Dao for he performed the weirdness of the character very well. He was also very sweet to Hai Tang even though he has such a strong personality! Now this is what I call a performance! His music is good too!

Cheng She Fei: Roger did a good Cheng She Fei. He was quite funny and he delivered the jokes effectively. But I think that he was a bit too old for this role since the other leaders of the Hu Long Shan Chuang were a generation younger...but it's ok though...He and Tammy made a cute couple at first and I was pretty interested with his character since he was the one who got the Golden Kung-Fu! But as the number of episodes passed, I find his lines redundant, especially his throwing of lines with Tammy...

Shang kwan Hai Tang: Michelle Ye was great here! At first, I did not like her much in her smart-ass role...but when she went to U Ren Koo, the village of the Evil, in order to find Cheng She Fei, she became more and more lovable that she became my favorite character in the whole series! She was so cute when she found out that Kent Tong likes her! I can feel her feeling of shock and confusion! Somehow, she became more herself! :) I also love her comic performance when she was to bathe the emperor! She was a very good performer! She does not only perform light emotions properly but even heavy ones as well. I also love her when she was abandoned by Tie Tan and when she was killed by Gao Yuen Yuen!

Ying Luo: Tammy was cute in here. I like her best here than her other damsel-in-distress roles in Lavander and Starry Starry Night! I found out that she can play a happy role. She was also prettier here than her roles before.

Liu Sheng Piao Xu: I find Gao Yuen Yuen prettier when she was wearing a Japanese costume than a Chinese one. She was good, but I hated her character because of killing Hai Tang. I am usually an admirer of villainous roles but because I love Hai Tang so much, I did not enjoy her character. She was such an evil person, but at least she really loved Tian Ya. Her performance was ok, nothing amazing for me, but not bad.

Liu Sheng Xue Qi: Eva is pretty and the modest and innocent role suits her well. I just feel sorry for her father because both daughters feel in love with Tien Ya, which is against his will.

Su Xin: Monica's character bored me! I can't seem to understand why two men fell madly for her...

Wan San Qian: Too old for Hai Tang!

The emperor: I hated his character at first because he was too useless and arrogant. but later on, he was ok...

Tsaw Cheng Chun: Although an unpleasant character, but a good performance!

Parts I Like:
> When Yi Dao accidentally found out that Hai Tang was a girl when she was taking a bath..
> When Hai Tang helped Yi Dao overcome his punishment when they were still kids.
> When Hai Tang was so scared that she had to bathe the emperor.
> Hai Tang's death...although it was so sad, she was so beautiful!
> Tie Tan Shen Hou and Tsaw Cheng Chun's showdown of kung-fu skills as well as Cheng She Fei and Tie Tan's.
> The beautifully developed ending, I love every bit of it!

What I don't Like:
> How Tie Tan Shen Hou falls madly in love with Monica that he got mad at Hai Tang and the doctors...

Overall:
This is a one of a kind production! Almost everything about it was great! I am looking forward for more of these type of productions!

Tian Xia Di Yi

AKA Hero, World’s Finest, Number One in the World, Greatest in the World

Starring: Li Ya Peng, Roger Kwok, Wallace Huo, Michelle Yip, Tammy, Damian Lau, Gao Yuan Yuan

Guest Appearance: Eva Huang, Dicky Cheung, Monica Chan, Kent Tong

In a villa, known as Tian Xia Di Yi, owned by the emperor’s Uncle (played by Damian Lau), includes only the best of best in the world. The emperor’s Uncle developed this villa to battle against the powerful Head Eunuch in the palace. However, that is only the beginning of the full story. Tian Xia Di Yi centers around four of the top members in the villa. They are:

Tian Xia Di Yi image

Tian Ya (played by Li Ya Peng) – with the title Heaven’s Number One. He is the number one in the art of thesword. He indirectly causes the death of his beloved wife and vows never to love another woman again, until fate forces him to marry her sister….

On acting- After praises for his roles in State of Divinity and Legend of the Condor Heroes, Li Ya Peng stars as the swordsman with a loving heart. Li Ya Peng did an average job in the beginning of the series because he still lacks emotional expression, especially in the love scenes with Eva. It is not until the last episodes that he impressed me with his “Dai Hap” allure. His story was not as interesting as the others.

Tian Xia Di Yi image

Yi Dao (played by Wallace Huo)- with the title Earth’s Number One. He is the number one in the art of the saber. His past is mysterious while his sabre strikes fear into every victim. He is known to be cold, but has a soft stop for his Miss Hai Tang.

On acting- Wallace plays the fighter obsessed with taking reveng for his father. Tragically, his road to revenge had caused him to lose everything. One can really feel pity for his character. Wallace had one of the best performances in the series. He can play a cold character with a bit of warmness. Whenever he looks at others, he shows detest and disrespect. Yet, when he looks at the woman he loves, he becomes as shy as a little boy. His eyes can express so many emotions within seconds, from coldness, anger, sadness, and to joy. Excellent job.

Tian Xia Di Yi image

Hai Tang (played by Michelle Yip)- with the title Xuan Number One. Her strategical skills, Chess skill, and calligraphy skills are second to none. She dresses as man most of the time for easier access on her missions. She once loved Tian Ya, but her heart soon goes towards Yi Dao.

On acting- This is the second time Michelle dresses as a male in her series next to Eternal Happiness. Many people can draw similarities in this role with Eternal Happiness’s, but I would say they are different. In Eternal Happiness, her character was more impulsive and childish. In Tian Xia Di Yi, her character was more calm and calculating. I could tell the difference between the two characters by her acting. This proves that Michelle's’s acting has improved. I once read that she tried to use her eyes to express her emotions, which is highly favored in China. So I did notice how she tried to use her eyes to act. It was a nice try, but she still needs more improvement in this area. Also, her crying seems a little too forced in some scenes. But overall, this is one of her best jobs.

Tian Xia Di Yi image

Shi Fei (played by Roger Kwok)- with the title Gold Number One. He is carefree and optimistic. He is the epitome of a sparrow turning into a phoenix since he begins as a street rat and emerges into undefeatable fighter and marries the playful princess.

On acting- Roger proved to me that he is versatile. In this series, his acting was very funny and he had great chemistry with the princess. I think his role was mostly a comic relief, but I’'ll let you guys decide.

All four of these warriors are sent out all over the world by the Emperor’s Uncle to carry out missions. Their pasts are slowly revealed as the series progresses. As they complete their missions, they soon discover that not everything is what it seems to be as the Uncle begins to change in his ambitions.

Comments: The plot line is a bit innovative by focusing on the four top fighters. However, I felt that by focusing on the four fighters, the overall plot suffered. It was a bit too rushed towards the end where everything is revealed. My complaint is that certain parts are too tedious and non essential for the overall plot. The problem could lie in the dialogues itself since it tended to be long and indirect. However, all of these factors did not affect how enjoyable the series was. The fighting for the most part was very nice. Although the cheesy computer graphics did leave me feeling irked at certain points, the choreography was nice to watch. I found Tian Ya’'s storyline to be slow and Yi Dao'’s was the most touching. I just can'’t help but wonder why the director did not elaborate much on Hai Tang’'s past as he did with the others.

Of course, I couldn’'t let out the most important aspect of the series. I watched this series because of the big Wallace and Michelle hype. Yes, they had wonderful chemistry. Their scenes together were few, but each scene evoked so much chemistry and emotions from both characters. It is a tragic love line since both sacrifice their life for each other and yet still, they could never have the happy ending that viewers wanted.

Final Saying: The Wallace and Michelle factor is enough to make the series enjoyable. I do warn you that the series can drag, but it is not anything major. It is a good series with as strong cast. Anyone interested in the themes of love and power struggle should give this a try.

Number of episodes: 40

Cast:
Roger Kwok-Chen Se Fei
Li Ya Peng-Duan Thian Ya
Wallace Huo-Kui Hai Yi Dao
Tammy Chen Yi Rong-princess Yin Luo
Gao Yuan Yuan-Liu Sen Phiau Xyi
Michelle Yip-San Kuan Hai Thang
Thie Tan Sen Hou-Damien Lau
Wan San Chien-Tong Jun Yeep
Monica Chan-Xu Xin
Dicky Cheung-Ku San Thong

Overview:
(Warning! Contains Unmarked Spoilers!!)

"Tian Xia Di Yi" or "The World's Greatest" focuses mainly around the four young constables, Duan Tian Ya, Kui Hai Yi Dao, Sang Kuan Hai Thang, and Chen Se Fei. But the plot really focuses more on Chen Se Fei, the last constable to join Thie Tan Sen Hou's (the duke) force. Chen Se Fei was an ordinary guy who makes a life out of lying and gambling. Luckily, he met the world's greatest martial art artist who was defeated by Sen Hou, Ku San Thong. Ku San Thong then gave Chen Se Fei all of his martial art before dying. Chen Se Fei then met Princess Yin Luo, the emperor's sister, and rescues the Empress. For that, the emperor wanted him to join Sen Hou's force. But Sen Hou refused to take him so he wanted to test Se Fei first. And Se Fei failed the test but because of Yin Luo, Sen Hou has to take Se Fei in. And then the four begin to take down the evil eunuch and the real evil who was concealed between them, Sen Hou himself.

The Cast:

1. Chen Se Fei-Roger Kwok
Chen Se Fei is a usual typical hero who starts out low, then meets a famous martial art artist that gave all of his martial art knowledge to him. Yes, very typical. But Chen Se Fei is way luckier since the princess herself fell in love with him, the Empress respects him, and his biological father is nome other than Ku San Thong himself. How lucky can a hero be? But he felt that he had a bad life since he had to marry the princess who makes his life miserable and all. Chen Se Fei's martial art is awesome; every part of his body has a written martial art manual. And he can turn all into gold when he's really in danger. Roger Kwok has a role of a comedian in this series. He had a perfect funny face to his every joke. And he's funny in all his scenes with Yin Luo. All the others were definitely jealous of him and Yin Luo since they are such a perfect loving couple who had the only happy ending.

2. Duan Tian Ya-Li Ya Peng
Duan Tian Ya is the first to be adopted by Sen Hou. He spent his studying time in Japan and thus learnt the most powerful martial art from there. Tian Ya was adore by three girls, Hai Thang, Liu Sen Xie Ci and Liu Sen Phiau Xyi. His heart was broken by his first wife's death, Xie Ci, so he resented Hai Thang's feelings. But he ended up with Xie Ci's younger sister, Phiau Xyi because he thought that she sacrificed everything for him. And he married her and also had a son with her named Lang Er, but he never knew that Phiau Xyi was a spy who was set up by his side by his own godfather, Sen Hou. From his meeting with Phiau Xyi until marrying her, leaves with her to the Snake Island, all was a strategy that his godfather set up. And he never even suspected it, just like what Phiau Xyi said. At the end he was heartbroken when he finds out that the real murderer who killed Hai Thang is his own wife. But even after he finds out, he didn't have the heart to kill her. After Phiau Xyi committed suicide and asked for his forgiveness, he forgave her. And he went to Yi Dao and tries to commit suicide for the fault of his wife but Yi Dao doesn't let him, he wants Tian Ya to saves his life for the duel with Sen Hou, the real criminal. Li Ya Peng's role was o.k, but I hate all of his flashbacks. It was so boring. And even though he promised not to be married again, he did with his wife's sister. What's wrong with this guy? He also let Phiau Xyi bully him in some ways. What an useless husband! Other than that I think that he's o.k.

3. Gui Hai Yi Dao-Wallace Huo
Kui Hai Yi Dao is the only one who is not adopted by Sen Hou. His main goal in life is to avenge his father; that very main goal ruined his life completely. At the start, Yi Dao is very quiet. He doesn't seem to show any good emotions toward Tian Ya bacause Tian Ya was the sky and he was the earth. But he does show some affection for Hai Thang since he likes her because she helped him when they were young. He sacrifices so many things for her; he was hurt by enemies in order to save her. And plus, Roger loves to make fun of him because he is so quiet and looked so unfriendly. After he learnt the powerful martial art, Xiong Ba Tian Xia, he becomes a killer. He killed the four who were rumored to kill his father and he lost control of himself and killed more innocent people. Everyone in the pugilistic world then combined their power to try and stop him. So Yi Dao becomes the pugilistic world's most wanted. And he has to hide in his mother's cottage. But little does he know that his father's murderer whom he has been searching for is none other than his own mother. Yi Dao wants to avenge his father but he doesn't want to kill his own mother. So his mother, unsuccessful in committing suicide, becomes a nun. He was touched to see his mother protecting him and began to care for her. One time when he lost control of himself, and almost hurt Hai Thang and his mother, he chops off his right hand. He then went away for awhile to cure himself of his demonic traits. When he returned, he found out that his beloved Hai Thang was engaged to Wan San Chien to save him. He sadly went back to his mother's cottage but Wan San Chien sent killers to kill him, and his mother died in order to protect him. Yi Dao was grief-stricken and went to stop Hai Thang's wedding ceremony. Hai Thang went away with him but not long after she was killed by Phaiu Xyi. At the end Yi Dao was all alone, joining Chen Se Fei and Tian Ya to protect the people. Wallace is great in this series. He portrays his role well, he's especially good in showing care through his cold eyes.

4. Princess Yin Luo-Chen Yi Rong
Princess Yin Luo is definitely my favorite character in this series. She's funny, cute and pretty. Yin Luo may be a bully, feared by others but she still looks so cute. It was really funny to see her bullying Chen Se Fei, especially when she was jealous of Xu Xin who received Se Fei's attention. She shows her nice side when she took care of Chen Se Fei, who was at the time poisoned and returned to a state of mental younger age. She definitely uses tricks to make Chen Se Fei marry her. Even after they were married, a lot of little problems occured but they were solved. I like Chen Yi Rong in this series very much, she look so cute in her costumes. Her arrogant attitude doesn't change her appearance, it makes her look cuter. I was really surprised to see Chen Yi Rong as a funny figure especially after I saw her in "Lavender", it was surprising to see her in a sudden different personality.

5. San Kuan Hai Thang-Michelle Yip
Even though I've seen Michelle's performances, somehow I didn't like her in this series. First she start off liking Tian Ya, but he rejects her feelings and she was o.k. with it even when she loved him soo much. She loves her godfather so much and when he doesn't trust her any longer, she fell into despair. When she finally relized that she loved Yi Dao, she had to give him up to save her godfather. She is smart enough to realize that Phiau Xyi is the real criminal, but she's not smart enough to keep her mouth shut and pretend that nothing had happened. If she did that then she might have a happy ending with Yi Dao. The reason that I dislike her in this series is because she was portrayed to be weak. I've seen several of her other series like "Eternal Happiness" and "Lofty Water Verdant Bow". In those series her strong personality stood out. But in this series she was portrayed to be so weak, so understanding and so self-sacrificing.

6. Liu Sen Phiau Xyi-Gao Yuan Yuan
Gao Yuan Yuan is a very pretty actress, very pretty, the prettiest actress in this series but I hate her. Why can't she take another role, a kind role instead of a bad one? In this series Gao Yuan Yuan is evil. She was all along a spy and a killer set by Tian Ya's side. For her obedience she would rather marry a guy that she doesn't love (but she really fell in love with him after they were married) and has a child with him. She also killed Hai Thang that had been nice to her since they first met. I totally dislike her role in this series.

7. Thie Tan Sen Hou-Damien Lau
The series may start off by portraying Damien as a good guy but the truth is he's the real enemy that Chen Se Fei, and the others must face. He is indeed evil; he raised the three to be his helpers that will help him to accomplish his goal. First he learnt powerful martial art thanks to Ku San Thong, who found the manuscript and was nice enough to share it with him. But Sen Hou doesn't repay Ku San Thong's generosity; instead he tries to take San Thong's fiance then took him prisoner as well. And his biggest dream is to wake Xu Xin from her sleep and live happily ever after with her. For that, he had everything planned out but he doesn't know that Chen Se Fei interference may lead him in his doom. At the end he died because of Xu Xin.

8. Gu San Thong-Dicky Cheung
Dicky is actually a guest star in this series. Yes, the poster was indeed deceiving. Dicky only appears onscreen in flashbacks. And those flashbacks are so short; all of them combined couldn't even form an episode. In the flashbacks though, Dicky is still funny and mischievous.

9. Xu Xin-Monica Chan

Monica Chan took the role of Xu Xin in this series, a very wrong decision. Xu Xin was portrayed to be Sen Hou's and San Thong's lover. After San Thong broke up with Xu Xin, she went with Sen Hou but then she reconciles with San Thong and had a baby boy with him, who turned out to be Chen Se Fei. Xu Xin then fell into a deep sleep as a result for interfering in Sen Hou's and San Thong's duel. She was sleeping inside a glass coffin until she woke up twenty years later. Even though she was able to keep her beauty, Xu Xin was confused after having woken up from a twenty-year sleep. After she witnessed Sen Hou sacrificing a lot of things for her, she fell for him. She discovered that Chen Se Fei is her son and she marries Sen Hou as well. When Sen Hou turned evil, she committed suicide to stop him. Because Xu Xin died, the three were able to take Sen Hou down.

The Theme Song:
The theme song was sung by none other than Gui Hai Yi Dao himself (Wallace Huo). The song was great and it fit the title of the series. Wallace Huo sung this song for the purpose of this series.

Conclusion:
I think that this series is great. A lot of the actors and actresses contributed to the success of this series. I definitely love the funny scenes between Chen Yi Rong and Roger Kwok. I think that this series is worth my time, the plots are well-planned. There are surprises, romance and action. I definitely don't regret watching this series.
